I'm trying out the mobile blogging facility on this Android phone. Typing's a bit slow but I'm thinking that it could be useful when out in the boondocks. Assuming there's a signal of course.
Current location: lying in bed!
Hi Steve! Great blog! My wife and I are retired, living in Richmond Hill and we are planning to buy an Airstream of similar length to yours - 27-28 ft . We plan to tow it with our 2006 Toyota Sienna (3.3L V6 w factory installed tow package). Another brazen soul!! We have chatted with Andy Thomson of Can Am RV fame at a number of the Toronto RV shows so we'll definitely be paying them a visit in March to attend one of their beginners seminars and once we make the purchase we'll have Andy and co. set up the rig. We have a growing family to visit out west so we can think of no better way of travelling than by Airstreaming! Thanks so much for sharing your Airstream experiences!!
Mike, Glad you enjoyed the blog. Andy T did a wonderful job setting up our Sienna (same as yours, almost)and we towed all summer with no problems at all. Sure, you lose a bit of speed on the hills but you more than make up for it in fewer gas stops. We absolutely love having the Airstream and I'm sure you will, too. By the way, I have to admit to having to look up Richmond Hill as I couldn't place it - now I know! Thanks again.
